About the 2008 Junior League of Atlanta Charity BallThis event is an important social gathering and significant fundraiser for The Junior League of Atlanta in funding our mission. This year, we use the occasion to celebrate our members and their significant gifts of time, energy and support, and we will recognize the immeasurable personal growth we experience from our involvement with the JLA and in supporting our Atlanta community. Through this event, members have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Atlanta charities. 100% of revenues from this event are used to further our mission; to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. More than 700 guests, including Junior League members, the public at-large, and a host of elected officials, attended last year’s Charity Ball. The event is black-tie and features five-star cuisine, a live band, dancing, silent and live auction, raffle and more. Ticket prices start at $90. Host committee packages start at $300 per couple, $375 per couple with reserved seating and new for 2008- an individual person host package for $175. Additional publicity has been procured from local radio stations, FOX news, newspapers and internal publications. Special Hotel Rate Available!Four Seasons Atlanta is offering a group rate for Junior League members the night of Charity Ball, Friday, October 3. The rate is $189, not including tax.
