League Sustaining Transfers (LST) Club
LST welcomes and promotes friendship among Sustainer Newcomers to the Junior League of Atlanta to acquaint them with volunteer services of the League and to have fun. Any Junior League member who transfers in good standing as a sustainer is eligible for membership. The eligibility will extend for one year after she is contacted by a Welcome Chairman. Annual dues are $20.
LST has been in existence since 1966. Currently there are 150 members. Each Tuesday a luncheon is held in a member’s home. Members take turns hosting or co-hosting these luncheons which have an attendance ranging from ten to thirty members. Our members who work during the day meet on the fourth Tuesday evening of the month for dinner at a local restaurant. Approximately six parties for members and spouses or significant others are planned during the year.
A LST newsletter is sent three times a year to inform members of membership additions or changes, luncheon schedules and general Club news. LST has several special interests groups: book clubs, bridge groups, investment clubs, Gypsies (they explore Atlanta and its environs with six trips a year), and a dinner group of older single women who meet once a month.
